West Indian batsman plus bowler was hit on the toes by the all rounder of Pakistan Shahid Afridi in the Caribbean premier league. It was the most quickest ball of the spinner that was bowled in that league. Andre Russell could not play it properly and fell on the ground. He was lucky enough to be given not out which looked very close call from Shahid Afridi.
West Indian cricket league was very popular in the world since it also had overseas players. Pakistani players including Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Sohail Tanveer and Umer Akmal were also part of the Caribbean premier league. In that particular match Shahid Afridi bowled really well to all the batsmen. Andre Russell faced the leg spinner for the first time in that over.
Andre Russell thought that it would be a lose delivery from the leg spinner and he had made his mind to play it with soft hands. He could no expect a quick ball from the spinner Shahid Afridi when he bowled a delivery that almost broke his toe. That ball hit him on his feet making him falling down on the wicket. The wicket keeper was also amazed at the speed of the ball by Shahid Afridi.
West Indian umpire did not give him out as the leg spinner made a huge appeal on that delivery that hit him right on his toe. Andre Russell was down on the wicket while all the players got really surprised. Shahid Afridi was not sure about the decision of the umpire.
West Indian crowd was really happy to see their batsman still at the crease as they wanted to see him hitting six off the bowling of Shahid Afridi. Shahid Afridi on the other hand was really sharp to contain that hard hitter of the batting team.
